Daniela, from Costa Rica, is professor of Health, Well-being, and Human Development. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, a postgraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics Applied to Sports, and a postgraduate degree in Personal Training. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Strategic Management.

 

Her teaching is based on the relationship between health and food systems. The course she teaches promotes food production in a healthy environment and equitable access to nutritious food worldwide. In her class, students analyze the impact of food production, the evolution of the environment, and sustainability as a key factor in quality of life and food security.

 

Additionally, as part of the students’ holistic education, the course includes aspects of well-being such as physical, mental, and emotional health to develop well-rounded and healthy individuals who can successfully face both professional and personal challenges.
