W.K. Kellogg Library

The W.K. Kellogg Library, located at EARTH’s Guácimo Campus, is an academic library specialized in Agricultural Sciences. The library offers guidance and assistance to the University faculty to manage resources supporting students’ education and research. It also remains available to graduates and is open to farmers, entrepreneurs, external researchers, interns, and visitors.

Among other services, the Library offers materials and spaces, study areas, a conference room, printing service, Kindle loans, personalized consultation services for research, and training services.

Our collection has over 52,000 titles, including books, monographs, reference works, academic journals, and Graduate Projects. These are available in the Library Catalog and the University’s Institutional Repository. The EARTH community can consult the subscriptions to the scientific-academic databases in the Internal Services section.

The Library has two extension projects. At the Guácimo Campus is the Community Library, a pioneer in promoting books and reading in the area. It primarily facilitates access to recreational literature by lending printed books to educational institutions that want to diversify available titles for their users. The Daniel Oduber Quirós Campus has the Science Corner project, an alliance between EARTH and the Public Affairs section of the U.S. Embassy. It aims to generate innovative ideas that help promote development through entrepreneurship, social justice, technological innovation, and creating alternatives to protect the environment.
